I have perfected my trade over a number of years spent living and working abroad. Finding the right word in Spanish, German or English has been part of my everyday life for almost ten years. During my years spent teaching French and Spanish, I came to appreciate the extent to which the client was the key to success, and I now apply this principle in my translation work. My clients love my work, and I love giving them satisfaction.
I feel that it is important to regularly review my professional knowledge and skills. The techniques I acquired during my Master's degree in translation continue to serve me well, but it is continuous professional education that helps me hone my skills. Writing workshops, conferences on translation, on software, learning new languages, meeting colleagues from all countries, and above all meeting my clients – this is the fuel that drives me onwards.
